Stepping inside our shop, you’re instantly transported to a warm, rustic European marketplace , where the air is sweet and every corner glows with light. Our mission wasn't just to sell a dessert; it was to share a piece of history: a centuries-old tradition passed down through generations of bakers from the heart of Transylvania.

Our biggest challenge wasn’t baking the perfect pastry; it was introducing a completely unknown delicacy—the kürtÅ‘skalács, or Chimney Cake—to the Minnesota palate. But once people heard the sound of the sugar, they understood.
The Craft of Fire and Dough
The secret to our distinctive flavor begins right here in Minnesota. We use local Minnesota honey to give our dough a unique, richer flavor and a perfect, lofty rise. This local touch ensures that while the recipe is ancient, the ingredients are fresh and familiar. The magic happens next: the moment of transformation. We wait for the satisfying sound of the sugar caramelizing on the turning spit, creating that flawless, golden-brown crust that gives the cake its signature crunch.
Every cake is hand-baked in an authentic cylindrical shape, making it crisp on the outside and wonderfully fluffy on the inside. Then comes our signature flavor: the Triple Chocolate dip.
